在菲律宾，在修读法学专业之前必须获得本科学士学位，在学习法律之前，其曾在菲律宾大学塔克洛班学院修读政治学专业，并获得社科文学学士学位；后在DVOREF法学院学习，并获得法学学士学位；再其后于菲律宾大学塔克洛班学院获得管理学硕士学位。在学习期间，曾获得优秀毕业生，并通过菲律宾大律师考试及执行官考试。
Vevelyn女士的任职经历十分丰富。1999-2000年其在基督国王学院任教；2001年在莱特师范大学担任大学任教；2001-2008年在DIGL地区办公室担任法务专员；2008-2014年在甲描育地区公设辩护办公室担任公设辩护人；2014年至今在公设辩护办公室第八区域办公室担任公设辩护人，现为公设辩护办公室第八区域办公室主任。
在第八区域办公室任职后，积极参与国际会议。2014年10月，在台湾台北参加以“法律援助与人权的普遍价值”为主题的国际法律援助论坛。2015年10月，在澳大利亚墨尔本参加以“当代矫正系统风险管理”为题的国际管教与监狱协会（ICPA）会议。2017年5月，在泰国曼谷参加主题为“资本市场：增长与繁荣的引擎”的公共政策与治理讲座论坛。2018年11月，在台湾台北参加以“扩大法律援助视野”为主题的国际法律援助论坛。
In Philippine, students have to finish their university study first before studying law, so she firstly completed her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences - Political Science at the University of the Philippines, Tacloban College. Then she graduated from DVOREF, College of Law, and got the degree of Bachelor of Laws. After that, she do further study in University of the Philippines, Tacloban College, majoring in Public Management and obtained the master of Management. During her time in the campus, she passed the Philippine Bar Examination and the Career Executive Officer (CEO) Written Exam, and got PD 197 Eligibility for Honor Graduates.
Vevelyn has very rich working experience and she has changed her work for many times. From 1999 – 2001, she works as College Instructor in Christ the King College in Calbayog City. And then she went to the Leyte Normal University in Tacloban City to at 2001. After that, she changed her job from a instructor to a legal officer from 2001-2008, and serves in DILG Regional Office 8 in Tacloban City. Then she changed her job for another time and served as public attorney, and first worked in Public Attorney’s District Office in Calbayog City and then promoted to work in the Regional Office 08 of Public Attorney’s Office until now.
After working in the Regional Office 08 of the Public Attorney Office, she attended so many foreign conferences. The conferences attended can be listed as follows: International Forum on Legal Aid “Legal Aid and the Universal Value of Human Rights” held in Taipei, Taiwan, October 2014; International Corrections and Prison Association (ICPA) Conference “Managing Risk in Contemporary Correctional Systems” held in Melbourne, Australia, October 25-30, 2015; Lecture Forum on Public Policy and Governance with the theme: Capital Market: An Engine for Growth and Prosperity, Bangkok, Thailand, May 23, 2017; International Forum on Legal Aid “Expanding the Horizons of Legal Aid” held in Taipei, Taiwan, November 2018.
